The second option requires a lot more time and effort than a 301 redirect. You could do a mini overhaul belonging to the site and turn it in to a microsite for your main space. This option is good for exact-match domains for the targeted keyword, and there are other advantages for going the microsite route that Rand’s highlighted in his article about root domains, subdomains, subfolders plus microsites.
I do agree with all the ideas you have presented in your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for beginners. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
